提到宮崎縣日南市，許多人會聯想到當地著名的景點——「鬼之洗衣板」。對我而言，這個地方不僅是風景，更承載了十多年前與父母一同造訪的記憶。那次旅行成為我們一家最後一次共同遠行的回憶，因為隨後的人生際遇，再也沒有機會一起出遊。
當時，面臨30歲的自己對未來充滿迷茫。身為一名普通的上班族，雖然生活穩定，但內心始終無法割捨成為創作者的渴望。這份掙扎也讓我與父母的關係變得緊張。然而，那天站在壯闊的大海前，我們似乎忘卻了一切的矛盾，心無芥蒂地享受著眼前的美景。後來，我終究選擇了創作者的道路，並逐漸獲得了父母的理解與支持。但遺憾的是，我們再也無法一起回到那片海岸，重溫當年的足跡。
在我的纖維創作中，我特別強調了「洗滌加工」這一技法。羊毛的收縮特性在加工過程中自然引發異材質的變化，形成質地鮮明且富有戲劇性的織品，彷彿再現地景般的觸感與力量。
這件作品象徵著我與家人如大海般包容後的和解，同時也將這片記憶中的海岸重現於作品中，獻給這片土地的居民，作為對那段時光的致敬。

When people think of Nichinan City in Miyazaki Prefecture, many picture its famous landmark—the “Devil’s Washboard.” For me, however, this place is more than just a scenic destination; it holds a deeply personal memory from over a decade ago, when I visited with my parents. That trip became our family’s last journey together, as life’s twists and turns left us with no further opportunities to travel as a family.

At the time, approaching 30, I was overwhelmed with uncertainty about my future. Although I lived a stable life as an ordinary office worker, I couldn’t suppress my yearning to become a creator. This inner struggle strained my relationship with my parents. Yet, standing before the vast ocean that day, all our conflicts seemed to fade away. We let go of our differences and simply enjoyed the magnificent scenery together. Later, I chose to pursue the path of an artist, gradually earning my parents’ understanding and support. Still, I regret that we never had the chance to return to that coastline and relive those moments again.

In my textile art, I place special emphasis on the technique of “felted processing.” During the process, the natural shrinkage of wool interacts with other materials, creating textiles with dramatic textures and striking contrasts. These tactile and dynamic pieces evoke the essence of landscapes, recreating their texture and energy.

This work symbolizes the reconciliation between my family and me, a resolution as boundless and embracing as the ocean. It also reimagines that cherished coastline, offering it as a tribute to the residents of this land and as a homage to those unforgettable times.
